Jaguar XK 4.8 Liter Upgrade Kit
This 4.8 litre Twin Spark cylinder head has been developed for an aluminum block XK engine which is currently under development at E-Torque. This engine has 94mm bores with a 115mm stroke, which puts its displacement at 4.8 Litres.
However, this cylinder head can also be used on a stroked 4.2 L block. It will make 400 hp on a 4.7 L engine.
To make that kind of horsepower, E-Torque developed special High Performance cams with .500” lift and lot’s of duration. These camshafts will produce a loppy idle and may be challenging for a novice driver, as the low speed drivablity will require a different style of driving.
This 4.8Ls engine rebuild kit will require that you purchase a 4.7 L Stroker Kit. This is perfect because it is always good to replace the original crankshaft with a billet steel version. First - a new crankshaft will get rid of the rope rear bearing seal that causes chronic oil leaks, and second, old crankshafts do break when you dramatically increase the power of the engine.
