E-Torque’s Exhaust Systems & Options
"Exhaust is like Induction - small changes can make huge differences."
All E-Torque engine exhaust systems are fabricated from #304 Stainless Steel
Independent dyno tests show that our catalytic converters (CAT) decrease exhaust emissions substantially and cost less than 10 hp.
All E-Torque engine exhaust systems come in CAT and Non-CAT configurations.
E-Torque offers engine exhaust systems using the original cast iron manifolds and systems that use tubular headers
E-Torque offers a choice of a two-to-one resonator or a two-to-two style. The two-to-one resembles the original E-type two tail pipe appearance while the two-to-two resemble Italian car exhaust with two tips per resonator.
E-Torque has performed countless tests using all sorts of exhaust components to find what worked and what didn’t. We began with the original engine exhaust systems, got a baseline performance level and then switched parts until we saw improvement. After all was said and done, our dyno told us that we managed to increase torque by 50 lb/ft at 2500 RPM and substantial gains in peak power. Our research continues with a new set of exhaust components that we believe will find even more hidden power.
Example of E-Torque’s Catalytic Converters installed in an E-type. Dyno tests confirm substantial decrease in emissions with less than a 10 hp loss.
Example of E-Torque’s Two-to-One Resonator. They resemble the original E-type resonators.

Example of E-Torque’s Two-to-Two Resonators. This updates the car’s appearance to something resembling a Ferrari,Lamborghini, Mazarati or Aston Martin.
E-Torque performs extensive dyno testing to explore avenues to improve its exhaust products.
Dyno tests are performed with the pre-induction (air filtration) system and exhaust components installed to provide a truer simulation of how the engine will perform when installed in the car.

E-Torque’s Exhaust Systems Explained
E-Type 3.4 - 3.8 L Original
This exhaust system is entirely fabricated from #304 Stainless Steel and is based upon the original cast iron exhaust manifolds. It is however is properly sized for an upgraded 3.8 Litre XK engine’s exhaust output. It has two-inch down pipes leading to a single chambered silencer. Down Pipes can be ordered with or without CATS. There are four pipes between the silencer and the resonators. This provides better flow than two oval tubes. The issue is to get the pipes under the IRS without having them cause ground clearance problems. The four pipes merge to a single two-inch inlet to a pair of resonators that resemble the original exhaust system. There is an alternative resonator configuration, which resembles a Ferrari exhaust with a pair of two pipe resonator tips
E-Type 3.4 - 3.8 L High Performance
This exhaust system is entirely fabricated from #304 Stainless Steel and is properly sized for an upgraded 3.8 XK engine’s exhaust output. Both header’s mounting flanges have been cut to mate with the E-Torque’s unique exhaust port shape and elevation, which is different than the original Jaguar cylinder head. The headers have 1-3/4” primary tubes going to two-inch link tubes and to a single chambered silencer. Link Tubes can be ordered with or without CATS. E-Type 4.1 - 4.8 L Original
This exhaust system is entirely fabricated from #304 Stainless Steel and is based upon the original cast iron exhaust manifolds. It is however is properly sized for an upgraded 4.1 - 4.8 Litre XK engine’s exhaust output. It has a pair of 2- 1/4” down pipes leading to a single chambered silencer. This exhaust system is entirely fabricated from #304 Stainless Steel and is properly sized for an upgraded 4.1 - 4.8 Litre XK engine’s exhaust output. Both tubular header’s mounting flanges have been cut to mate with the E-Torque’s unique exhaust port shape and elevation, which is different than the original Jaguar cylinder head. The headers have 1-7/8” primary tubes going to a three-inch Y-Pipe and to a single chambered silencer. The Y-Pipe can be ordered with or without CATS. There are two 2-1/4” tail pipes leading to the left side of the rear end.
XJ6 4.1 - 4.8 Litre High Performance
This exhaust system is entirely fabricated from #304 Stainless Steel and is properly sized for an upgraded 4.1 - 4.8 Litre XK engine’s exhaust output. There are two 2-1/4” tail pipes between the silencer and the resonators. They weave through the IRS unit as they make their way to the rear end. The tail pipes feed into a two-inch inlet on each resonator. Each resonator has the traditional “S-bend” tube bringing the exhaust out from under the rear bumper.
