4.7 LITRE DYNO TEST RESULTS
The graph to the right shows the results of the first dyno tests of the 4.7 Litre E-torque Cylinder head run on a newly blueprinted Jaguar XK 4.7 Litre engine.
The cylinder head developed 360.68 peak horsepower. It also made 398 lb/ft (539.85 N-M) torque over an unusually wide RPM band.
This head was the prototype. Since these tests were run, we have made a lot of changes to the 4.7 Liter Cylinder Head design. For Example, the intake valve diameter was increased from 1.875” to 1.950”. We have increased the intake ports to flow more air. The head in the test had only six plugs and the compression ratio was 10:1. We now run 11:1 compression with Twin Spark heads.
These changes will be assessed in a new dyno session to be run in conjunction with our three EFI systems in spring of 2023. All results will be published on this website for SU carbs, Weber Carbs along with each type of EFI we manufacture.
